Nestled cozily by the fire he wondered,
If there was more to why he didn't go.
This wasn't the usual 'introverting' day;
He wanted to go yet didn't show (up).
Anxiousness gripped him,
Insecurity held him back,
Fear of judgment made him freeze,
There was something he felt he lacked.
He sat in the same spot that entire evening,
Missing being at the party,
So, he made up an excuse for not turning up,
For he thought he wouldn't look as arty.
